Style Post: Santa Rosa Edition

Another photo shoot courtesy of my talented sister. We went cruising in Santa Rosa to a place Kimmy had seen and thought would make some good pictures. I loved the old brick, wooden and blue doors. There are places like that all over Santa Rosa. We had a great day walking around Healdsburg, wine tasting at Vin Couture and dinner at Tex Wasabi.  Highlight of the day was definitely meeting Matilda, a beautiful little bulldog that reminded my of my Turner.  All photos courtesy of Kimberly Fleckner Photograpy.

Style Post: Calistoga Edition

Just a quick trip up to Calistoga to see my sissy. Sometimes you need a girls weekend. I love nothing more than quality time with my sister and my momma.  We joke around, laugh and just truly enjoy each others company. My talented sister wanted to flex her photography skills and I was happy to oblige her. We cruised to the Bale Grist Mill for a few shots and ended with some wine tasting at Sullivan. Lazy Saturday and Girls Night should be the real title, but it seemed not quite as succinct. Last Saturday after the Seal Beach Run (Husband ran the 5K and got 5th in his age group!) we were both tired and lazy for obvious reasons. ;-) We got lunch, ran some errands, and then headed to a friend's place in downtown Long Beach. Bobby off to play poker with the boys and me to drink wine and laugh with the girls. The day called for something comfortable yet put together. Although this Vince circle top doesn't photograph as it should, I always feel stylish in its unusual shape and soft jersey. Here's to more girls nights and comfortable clothes!

Another Style Post?

"Who does she think she is?" Not what you are thinking? OK good. ;-) So Friday night I had what I call insomnia. It really wasn't, my husband went to bed at 10 pm on a Friday night and I was wide awake so it felt like insomnia. Well, I ended up using the time to brainstorm about more blog ideas. I got kinda obsessed and the insomnia worsened. All I could think of was BLOG, BLOG, BLOG. So I decided to plan out my next style post. This one is in honor of William Rast arriving at Target!! I heart William Rast, I love how the designs are subtly part patriotic and  part rock star. Over the summer I was scooping up William Rast all over the place, from jeans, to vest, to jacket. I couldn't find the jeans (I'll find them somewhere) but vest and jacket were front and center. Next up my finds at Target!
