Year in Review

Just a little visual review of my year of posts. Although I didn't always post consistently, I have really enjoyed having this humble blog. I feel like it is a space to genuinely be me and to stretch myself in new ways. Thank you to those of you who have joined me on the hunt. 2011 was truly amazing and I can't wait to see what 2012 will bring!

Style Post: Sassy

Outfit Notes

Bustier from my Momma! (She got it on Melrose in the 80s)

Scarf by Alexander McQueen

I wore this to work and one of my sweet co-workers said, "You sure look sassy today!" Thus the post title. It must be my haircut but now I'm always looking for ways to "tough" up my outfit. Today it was a black bustier and skull scarf. Must be my good girl roots. Although I am in no way a tough and wild girl, it sure is fun trying to dress like one!

Merry Christmas!

Although our Christmas card was a bit different it is the same picture. This is what I wanted to have, but I need photoshop. You hear that Santa?

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you enjoy it to the fullest with friends & family.

XOXO,

Jen

Style Post: Urban Jungle

I have writers block. I had a very clever cheeky line, but then Hubs read it and started laughing. Not in the good way either. So then I told him I HAD writers block and I didn't know what to write for this post. He asked me, "How do you feel about your outfit?" I replied, "I feel tough." Spikey new haircut, studded harness booties, and faux leopard coat to soften it up. Enough said. Thanks Bobby. ;-)

Style Post: KISS

Maybe its the change in seasons or maybe recovery from the summers floral bohemian styles, but I have been dressing very simply lately. Inspired by another blog, Tomboy Style, I rediscovered my men's Marc Jacobs cashmere sweater. Paired with cuffed faux leather shorts and chunky heals my conversion was complete. Just remember KISS, keep it simple sweetie! ;-)

New Style Post: Inspired

Finally, another style post! Due to my Husband's schedule I have not had a photographer lately for any outfit pictures. I asked him if he would be willing to get up a little early on some days to take my pics and he agreed! Three cheers for Hubby being a trooper!

Anyways, one of my favorite blogs, Ascot Friday, had a post on tonal dressing and I had to attempt a copy. Here is my version of it. Laura's style is simply inspiring and her blog is a daily must read. Thanks for the inspiration Laura!
